What does the Northern Powerhouse mean to you?
The Northern Powerhouse represents the government's push towards supporting businesses in my local area. It can sometimes be difficult to discern where the money has been dispersed, but I do appreciate the publicity the campaign has created, particularly internationally, with more investors seeing the real potential of Northern cities.

Ten years have passed since the phrase 'Northern Powerhouse' was first coined. Has enough happened since then?
I would say, given the recent axing of the HS3 leg of the UK's rail expansion, it would be hard for me to suggest enough has been achieved. However, I do remain optimistic that we will see more investment in the north. With the strength of local businesses following the crippling effects of Covid, we do see our neighbours helping to grow our local communities.
