An amazing afternoon of traditional festive fun took place at Liverpool's Adelphi Hotel for 500 children thanks to local businesses.
The event was organised and funded by Integritas Property Group (IPG) and Derry Matthews Community Interest Company (CIC). The aim was to create a winter wonderland for children from the city, ensure every child received a Christmas present just for them, and have a memorable day.
Surpassing expectations of hosting 300 children, IPG's Mitchell Walsh, Derry Mathews, Stephen Edgerton (directors of Derry Mathews Academy CIC), and other local business leaders combined efforts to put on an even bigger event than first imagined. Mitchell Walsh, managing director of IPG, said: "It was incredible that we were able to give such a fantastic afternoon to 500 kids, providing every single one of them with a gift just for them, a lunch, and such a brilliant experience....
